With all of these rogue operations we can conclude that big government needs an indictment of some kind. The idea of impeachment has also been mentioned but I am thinking that we can impeach away, but it would be temporary feel good moment for conservatives but the country may not fare as well with an impeachment.
The United States seems to think that doing what we’ve always done is a strategy for success. When will we confess that times have changed and that our strategies need to change as well if we are to combat the ever-present threat of fascism coming from the very people we have held in high regard in the public trust?
We think that doing what makes us look good in front of our peers is always what is good for us. Now we may have to suffer a bit in order to get back the control of our well-being.
The methods used to smooth over the flaws and hypocrisy of both political parties and their actions are divisive and sickening. It troubles me that the strategic sense of eliminating our problems in this country is to have the naive idea that all of this madness can be solved with an emergency election or even an impeachment.
There is such a thing as overplaying one’s hand in matters dealing with government and impeachment proceedings may lead us nowhere, distract us and by the time it is all over we have played the long game and Obama could still finish his term and we would still be in the mess we are in now without any answers or even justice.
I would suggest that the talk of impeachment at this moment is a result of hyper partisan rhetoric. The real issue is how government has gotten bigger without oversight or any checks and balances.
Wouldn’t it be more effective to delegate more power to state legislatures and stop the leaning on federal government with regards to policies that affect us locally?
Nixon and Obama despite their coming from rival political camps have acted in similar fashion after coming to power. Both were terrified by leaks and recruited the government into the struggle against them. With Nixon, they eavesdropped on conversations of key journalists and officials who were suspected of being their sources. Obama allegedly used the tax apparatus for political persecution which has awakened a new type of anger among Americans.
Nixon’s men sent burglars to Democratic Party headquarters at the Watergate Hotel to listen in on several telephone lines and risked getting caught red-handed – eventually leading to Nixon’s resignation.
Obama has the Internet, which Nixon could only fantasize about. It looks as if Obama was able to use the largest Internet companies’ servers and to cellular phone operators’ records of conversations. He apparently has done this openly and didn’t need to hire super snoopers to get the job done.
Nixon’s crime was that he only eavesdropped on a few people. Obama apparently has access to billions. The data that was gathered was always reviewed, during the president’s daily intelligence briefing.
The difference between Obama and Nixon is their way of dealing with the revelation. When Nixon’s men were trapped in Watergate, he tried to obstruct the investigation and that is eventually what brought him down. Obama has one tool that Nixon didn’t and that is the “national security” excuse.
The question is, is that enough to keep Americans from demanding his impeachment?
Will impeachment be effective?
We may not realize it, but what an impeachment also suggests is that the United States is a country that is ungovernable, We have now allowed too many things to slip by us as citizens and there could be some very powerful people outside of our government that may see the country as a failure and may take measures to step in and govern. This could result in a coup.
If there is an impeachment process it could be determined by outside interests that democracy in the United States no longer exists and that the executive branch of government is no longer effective.
Think about it: an impeachment is a political process that is not directed by independent prosecutors or impartial judges. It begins in the House of Representatives, where a majority of officeholders owe their jobs to elections in which they campaigned against the president. Many of these representatives don’t see the President Obama as a legitimate President. In partisan advantage there is no conscience and so far the topic of impeachment is once again being considered by conservatives.
If Republicans vote to impeach again, like they did President Clinton, then every president that is elected will begin his impeachment count down on his very first day in the White House. This is where democracy falls apart because we could see blow back if there is ever a Republican president and the Democrats decide that there is reason to impeach.
This becomes a tool of a coup as well. This is a mess and it would be important to analyze the big picture.
We could see a future of gridlock where the people will suffer as government does nothing but fight in the courts over who is a legitimate president. The truth is the business of the people will be neglected.
This could also lead to a new constitution, and a reestablishment of American government and it may not be the type of government we are used to, it may even be relegated to a global governing apparatus.
Both sides left wing and right wing are encouraging extremist behavior. This behavior has been the focus of Homeland Security as new provisions indicate that the new terrorists will be homegrown. The threat of an insolvent government breeds homegrown terrorist activities as well.
Robert A. Heinlein wrote: “Sick cultures show a complex of symptoms, but a dying culture invariably exhibits personal rudeness. Bad manners, lack of consideration for others in minor matters. A loss of politeness, of gentle manners, which is more significant than an all out riot.”
The American people are becoming angry over what they are hearing and we are seeing the perpetual “dirty war” forming in words and actions of a lot of citizens who feel that crimes have been committed and they do not know how to resolve these problems.
The first phase of the dirty war is evident when blame is levied at straw men and scapegoats.
The first targets of dirty was are the media, artists and performers, talk show hosts and newspaper columnists. Then in some cases the next targets are bank officials and business owners. Civil wars often break out when the people lose faith in the military and the police to protect them from the executive branch of government that appears to be running amok.
If this sounds like some blueprint for some destructive social engineering dynamic you are right.
This may be the plan and it could open a dialogue for world government options.
Once a national security state has created a culture of fear and suppressed dissent, it may safely consolidate power, with minimal questioning by the media or challenges from dissident voices. When a government consolidates its power it is able to change without much rebellion. Policies, laws, and even constitutions are rewritten and soon the very thing you feared about your government becomes evident.
You become trapped by the extremist thought and they eventually erode all argument. Extremists will be taken and you may or may not be taken with them. Through the use of manipulation, intimidation, scapegoating, surveillance, social war, civil war, and murder we eventually realize that our government is no better than a criminal family or mob. In the mob mentality, murder works.
Murder is the way to advance your agenda. Murder is what ‘serious’ players on the world stage do. There is no law but the law of power; there is no way but the way of violence. There is no morality, there is no liberty, we share no common humanity. We all will be made to hate each other. The mob believes using brute force is a sign of strength. They believe murder brings peace and body bags mean change.
Now you know why they have hollow point bullets, drones and kill lists.
Playing on ideas that are created with low information may lead to future failures. The moves are being forced now, and what appears to be the quick fix may be the very thing they want us to demand.
Then every paranoid person would then say “I told you so” when the country is surrendered to UN control, creating the New World Order, orchestrated by the Council on Foreign Relations and all the other so-called puppet masters who control us. If you protest any of it, you would be a subversive. You would be jailed or killed by the new, global police force.
It would be a war between a new form of government and its citizens.
