PROVIDE FOR THE COSMIC DEFENSE

MONOLOGUE WRITTEN BY CLYDE LEWIS

It is no secret that I was raised at a young age to be a patriot. I was a boy scout and learned that I had a responsibility to God and my country to honor the Constitution and to be a moral and upright.

Whenever possible, I certainly defend rights that the Constitution provides and regardless of politics that cornerstone of law should be honored.

In the preamble of the Constitution, there is a passage that reads that we the people provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to those who live now and to future generations.

Under the Constitution, the responsibility to assure peace by maintaining our national defenses rests first with the federal government. America’s common defense is, therefore, the primary responsibility of the United States government—a responsibility that in the end makes it possible for us safely to enjoy our many freedoms. By providing for the common defense, the Constitution secures the inalienable rights recognized in the Declaration of Independence: life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

As we plod along into an unknown future it is becoming apparent that the Constitution is cherry-picked for political reasons and it becomes a bone of contention in a country that is divided over how we should treat each other on this planet.

However, we are about to make giant leaps beyond this planet and make decisions to defend our country and our planet from enemies foreign, domestic and now cosmic.

In fact, it might be timely to actually believe that we as a people should also provide for a common defense to establish safety from new threats to the earth that go beyond that of what our forefathers-could not have foreseen.

Two days ago, President Donald Trump signed an order outlining his vision for the newly proposed “Space Force.”

Last year, Trump said he wanted to create a Space Force to protect satellites, tackle vulnerabilities in space and assert US dominance in orbit.

It would be the sixth branch of the military alongside the Navy, Marine Corps, Army, Air Force, and Coast Guard.

The order calls for Congress to draft legislation that would establish the Space Force as a branch that falls under the Air Force, similar to how the Navy oversees the Marine Corps.

The Pentagon has still remained silent over the matter.

The creation of a Space Force is not a done deal, as it must be vetted and approved by Congress. Lawmakers and defense officials have reacted with skepticism, wary of the cost and added bureaucracy.

It has also been criticized on a purely political level and as of yet, the major media networks that frame the narrative have not actually investigated the purpose or even the reason why a space force should be established.

Not only are weapons advancing and are being sent into space, but various declassified documents are now confirming that planet earth is about to pass through some very turbulent space and there is also the remote possibility that within a few years or maybe sooner there will be evidence provided publicly about other extra terrestrial civilizations that may or may not be hostile.

Astrophysicist Mazlan Othman has already been appointed by the United Nations as the world’s space ambassador. It was a role that like Space Force was seen as a joke by critics when it was first proposed.

However, the United Nations has not blinked or even winked about the issue of space affairs and Othman has been briefed on all things that come with this post.

Her previous post at the U.N. was as director of the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) which, entails dealing with “… issues of international cooperation in space, prevention of collisions and space debris, use of space-based remote sensing platforms for sustainable development, coordination of space law between countries, and the risks posed by near-earth asteroids, among other topics.”

And unlike that late Stephen Hawking, who saw aliens as a possible threat to humanity stating that their dealings with us as possibly akin to Columbus’ introduction to Native Americans, Othman is said to be a moderate in her ideas about what is to happen if an when there is no question as to whether or not we are alone in the universe.

Space has always been a case of unfinished business, especially when it comes to manned space travel and the supposition that there have already been a secret space program and that President Trump’s dream of space cowboys –makes it all legit and no longer will the military be able to hide our efforts of protecting the planet like Buck Rogers.

After more than a year of talk about returning humans to the Moon, NASA is asking the aerospace community to come up with designs for landers that can transport astronauts to the lunar surface. NASA’s goal is to test out these vehicles on the Moon as early as 2024 and then use them to take people to the lunar surface by 2028.

NASA administrator Jim Bridenstine and other top agency officials outlined the plan during a media roundtable today in Washington, DC. While Bridenstine has trumpeted the idea that NASA is going back to the Moon to stay this time, he also noted that the agency is making speed a priority in its return to the lunar surface.

In December 2017, President Trump signed a directive known as SPD-1, which charged NASA with putting humans back on the Moon to stay, but progress toward that goal has been incremental. Now, NASA wants to step on the gas.

That desire for speed is reflected in how quickly the agency plans to make selections of lander designs. NASA will put out a formal request to companies for lander proposals in March, with the goal of awarding and solidifying contracts between May and July. Each individual contract will be worth somewhere between $300,000 and $9 million.

Of course, space warfare is one of the big issues that hardens the resolve of having a Space Force.

Space plays a vital role in just about every aspect of modern warfare, with many military technologies reliant on a network of orbiting sensors and satellites, and the Pentagon has warned that countries like Russia and China are working to build anti-satellite capabilities.

However, it appears that while warfare and the worry of attacks from space take front and center in many reports about Space Force there is yet another concern that seldom gets any attention.

NASA is very concerned about near earth objects and how to keep them from hitting the earth and causing widespread damage or extinction level events.

There are new developments that show that there appears to be a new urgency to prevent near earth impacts. Declassified documents are showing that there has been a plan in place to develop ways to either destroy or change the trajectory of many of these objects because earth will be in the cross hairs of many close calls over the next ten years.

Many scientists recognize a real risk to the Earth, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is now developing space technology to prevent humans from following in the footsteps of the dinosaurs into impact oblivion.

NASA and the European Space agency are teaming up for a new mission named The Double Asteroid Redirect Test (or DART).

The project aims to knock an asteroid off course by slamming into it using a special probe traveling at around 4 miles per second. DART is targeting an asteroid dubbed “Didymos” and its smaller counterpart, “Didymoon,” in an effort to “punch” the smaller rock off course.

“Smaller” is a bit deceptive as Didymoon is about the size of the Pyramid of Giza. That might not sound like much, but if an asteroid that size were to impact Earth at around 19 miles a second (the average speed of asteroids), scientists say that could potentially destroy a city or make an entire region’s ecological conditions unlivable.

They plan for DART to reach speeds as fast as 15,000 miles per hour. The impact will fling debris from the asteroid moon. A small satellite will accompany the DART spacecraft to measure the effect.

The team wants to hit the asteroid moon with enough force to bump it, but not break it apart. The moon orbits the asteroid at a speed of about seven inches per second. They hope to change the speed by about a centimeter per second.

Newly declassified documents have shown that the United States has for years been proactively preparing for the possibility of an ELE asteroid threat, developing telescopes and other technologies to find potentially hazardous asteroids and comets.

Since November of 2018, there have been reports of nearly 15 close calls this year alone and there have been scores of fireballs that have lit up the night sky. There have been three in the month of February that have exploded or have made impact and have caused damage and injury.

On February 1st, a space rock traveled over West Palm Beach, above the Florida Keys, and then to Viñales, a town in Pinar del Río, Cuba. Residents of Viñales, Cuba saw a very long smoke trail that lasted more than one minute, while the meteor itself was described as extremely bright, with a yellow-orange color, and lasted more than at least four seconds.

There was a solid boom that broke a few windows in the area and shook up area residents.

Days later, another large space rock exploded and made impact in Venezuela.

The fireball lit the skies brightly over Yellow Flower, Valencia, Venezuela in the State of Carabobo. This rock hit the earth and pushed dirt several feet it also caused a wide brushfire.

On February 18th, another fireball lit up the sky making it appear to be noon day over the French island of Mayotte. Initial Reports indicated an explosion had taken place somewhere on the island. The local authorities said on Twitter: “Tonight, several testimonies reported a noise that would have occurred in the Mahorais sky. At this stage no explanation could be provided. All states are mobilized to find an explanation of this phenomenon.”

Now what is most interesting about this fireball sighting is that there are many on the island that are questioning whether the fireball was a natural event. There is some speculation that some sort of space craft has crashed there and that it is undetermined where the impact happened.

If you remember a rather strange event happened in the area last November.

There was a hum that nobody could hear. It was repotted to be a seismic event; one that originated between Madagascar and Mozambique it circled the entire world. Whatever it was it was so unusual that scientists were baffled. It sparked a hunt for the source of the hum that still hasn’t been resolved.

It was later found that the hum was coming from the Island of Mayotte.

The hum, National Geographic reported, was strange for a number of reasons. First, it rang at just a single ultra-low frequency, like a well-tuned bell. Seismic waves usually involve lots of different frequencies. Second, the wave emerged and circled the planet without the usual signs of an earthquake; no one in the area felt any shaking, and the “p-waves” and “s-waves” associated with the hum, the sort of waves that you actually feel during an earthquake, were so faint as to be nearly undetectable.

The French government found that the vibrations from the low frequency hum caused the island of Mayotte to slide2.4 inches to the east and 1.2 inches to the south.

Something similar had happened in 2004. There was a moment when the earth hummed like a bell and then there was a major earthquake and Tsunami in Indonesia.

The magnitude 9.3 earthquake that occurred in the Indian Ocean off the coast of Sumatra in Malaysia on December 26th, 2004 was one of the most devastating quakes ever recorded. It caused a powerful tsunami which devastated coastal regions of many countries leaving over 240,000 people either dead or missing. It was declared a disaster of biblical proportions.

Just 44 hours later, scientists reported that gamma ray telescopes orbiting the Earth had picked up the arrival of the brightest Gamma Ray Burst ever recorded! The Gamma Ray Burst (or GRB) finally arrived from deep space on December 27, 2004 at 21 hours 36 minutes (Universal Time) and was 100 times more intense than any burst that had been previously recorded. It equaling the brightness of the full Moon but radiated most of its energy at gamma ray wavelengths. The blast temporarily changed the shape the Earth’s ionosphere, distorting the transmission of long-wavelength radio signals.

Scientists say that the Gamma burst came from an area between Sagittarius and Scorpio.

Coincidentally, there was a major 7.0 Earthquake that struck Alaska after the humming anomaly from the Mayotte encircled the earth.

Is there a hum or some anomaly coming from space that we should be aware of? Is it a coincidence the island Mayotte sent a hum around the planet and later was ground zero for a huge extraterrestrial event?

Again, just days after the fireball event in Mayotte there was another major earthquake in Alaska and another in Japan.

Alaska was struck by six earthquakes within only minutes today February 21st, 2019.

A 5.5-magnitude earthquake jolted Japan’s northern island of Hokkaido on today (Feb 21). Although there were no immediate reports of injuries or damage to property, the quake produced huge landslides, closed the Chitose airport, canceled trains and metro and disrupted mobile communications.

Now here is a coincidence that was reported today in Forbes Magazine:

NASA’s first 24 hour Mars weather station detected an unexplained, low-frequency infrasound. The infrasound was detected as it swept past a suite of detectors atop the InSight Mission Lander.

Because infrasound waves have such low-frequency, they lie at least several octaves below the human range of hearing. But this particular infrasound’s amplitude was pretty big.

The question is what was its source?

Something big was passing through the atmosphere. Now we can jump to the outrageous and think that it was something artificial – but scientists say that the infrasound could have been caused by a meteor crashing into Mars’ atmosphere; some sort of airflow over an underlying stable local atmosphere; or maybe even a landslide.

Now, isn’t this what happened on the Island of Mayotte?

The Space Force has been charged along with NASA to eliminate any and all space threats. However, The Space Force has been under scrutiny for integrating the proposed department’s joint war fighting functions in the solar system; however, the planetary defense department has made some quick moves to explore the threat of Apollo or Apollyon (Extinction level) class asteroids that could impact the planet.

In the past, NASA has admitted there are many Apollyon class asteroids lurking in places where they cannot always be seen and many times they have to rely on amateur astronomers to get the word out. By then, it may be too late.

The impact of the meteor with Earth’s atmosphere was picked up by US government sensors used to detect nuclear explosions, among other things.

A similar event happened in 2016.

On February 6, 2016, a chunk of what has been called Unknown Interplanetary Material, plunged into Earth’s atmosphere and exploded about 19 miles above the Atlantic Ocean. The explosion was detected 600 miles outside of Sao Paulo, Brazil. It was moving at over 9.6 miles per second. It had a diameter of 23 feet and the energy released was equivalent to the detonation of 13,000 tons of TNT.

Once again, it was detected by its sound — it was not seen.

The report and information on the event were given to NASA by the U.S. Government. Detecting atmospheric explosions is most likely a high priority of several branches of the U.S. military, so a fireball of such magnitude could have been easily picked up. Satellite imagery and infrasound atmospheric microphones could both be used to detect an impact like this.

Now, we know that Near Earth Objects pass over the earth all the time, but Apollo class asteroids are tricky to predict or even detect obviously.

To help the rest of the world prepare for an asteroid strike, NASA’s Planetary Defense Coordination Office is working with the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space to “look at what should be the international response to the NEO hazards that could plague us over the next ten years.”

NASA and its partners have identified more than 95 percent of all asteroids that are large enough to cause a global catastrophe and none of those found poses a threat within the century.

However, we have various sweeper rocks that may show up during the Taurid meteor shower in June.
