HEAD OF THE EVOLUTIONARY TREE
MONOLOGUE WRITTEN BY CLYDE LEWIS
In the realm of pure science, many physicists remain stubbornly committed to strings and multiverses – things too small and large ever to be observed.
Theories of consciousness have also bordered on the bizarre lately. When I say bizarre, I mean that traditional scientists who are afraid to push the limits of theory are now getting agitated because prominent experts are espousing panpsychism, which holds that consciousness might be a property of many kinds of matter, not just brains.
As with strings and multiverses, panpsychism cannot be experimentally confirmed.
When we speak of pansychism, we argue that everything material, however small, has an element of individual consciousness.
All living beings are more or less identified with their minds and body. Using a cosmic model, we see a newly accepted idea that everything has a vibration, a frequency, and a form of consciousness. We are hearing about the support of a form of panpsychism where consciousness is based on a nonphysical substance that is in some way bound to all kinds of physical and mental matter.
Pansychism is a hard sell to old school science; however, there are new thoughts on things like crystals or quartz that can actually record and in some ways document light changes and in some cases reveal what can be called, “past life history” where if we can find a way to extract what has been recorded in matter, we could unlock the secrets of the universe.
Crystals, especially quartz crystals, can receive, store and transmit energy and information, as crystal radio sets can attest to.
Some believe that ancient cultures used crystal skulls as a form of computer, recording and storing ancient wisdom and knowledge to be passed down for generations. Rather than storing this information in a regular crystal that could be lost in time, they used a skull carved out of crystal to represent the receptacle of the human mind or consciousness.
The skull remains long after the body, so the crystal skull was designed to last for eternity in a form that would be recognized and not discarded. The key with any computer is to know how to turn it on or to get the skull to speak or send out sounds and knowledge it has absorbed over the thousands of years it has been in existence.
Crystals and crystal skulls are amplifiers of thought, energy and intention. They can calm and clear the mind for more profound meditation, and for improved clarity and decision making. With a crystal skull, you can enhance intuition and psychic abilities, facilitate spiritual experiences and guidance, improve grounding and concentration, support the laws of attraction and manifestation, promote peace and calm in any environment, and generally experience whatever you set your mind to.
It is believed that they retain and hold consciousness.
That is all good in theory – proving such amazing things in mainstream science circles is still in the works.
If crystal skulls hold on to consciousness, then the question is, what kind of consciousness do they hold and can we find a way to transmit that consciousness using scientific means?
Can it be that the crystal skulls hold the secret to downloading consciousness into an inanimate object and hold it in stasis until it can be transferred into another brain or computer?
Although downloading consciousness is still only the stuff of science fiction, recent research has led scientists to claim that an artificial brain could be constructed in as little as ten years.
Enough research has been done on the subject of “Consciousness” in the Eastern world through inward viewing and Western world through observations and experiments.
According to Western perspective, a human being is a triune of gross physical body, subtle mind and extremely subtle Spirit or Soul. While gross physical body and mind can die, the soul or the consciousness is imperishable and according to religious continues on eternal journey.
Eastern philosophy tells us that in the journey it attains various life forms and is in a constant process of constant and continuous evolution; in some cases, regenerating and returning to earth in various forms.
Residual energy pairs off, divides and attaches to objects and at times it can be said that an object can retain remnants of consciousness. Sometimes this is called a residual haunting. Many inanimate objects have a past, and it can be theorized the energy the object was bathed in or exposed to can be retained and tested.
Psychometry is a psychic ability in which a person can sense or “read” the history of an object by touching it. Such a person can receive impressions from an object by holding it in his/her hands or, alternatively, touching it to the forehead. Such impressions can be perceived as images, sounds, smells, tastes and even emotions.
Psychometery is not considered a scientific method to obtain any information on the consciousness of an object, if a consciousness exists.
A person who has psychometric abilities, a psychometrist, can hold an artifact and tell something about the history of that artifact, the person who owned it, or about the experiences that person had while in the possession of that artifact.
You can see that much of what I am talking about may leave old school scientists with a lot of cynicism and uncertainty.
It can be argued that with all of the strange theories coming out of scientific journals these days that perhaps there is a lack of certainty about many things. It appears that the biggest lack of certainty comes with the origins of mankind.
It can be said that as we are taking detours with evolutionary theory that a small group of creationists are most definitely keeping a scorecard on the faux pas of scientists.
However, I think it is important to point out that even though they mean well creationists fail to even acknowledge the messes that they create with their ideas which simply sound like magic and even though they hate to hear it – their views on mankind’s origins lean on the supernatural, rather than a natural progression of what can be called the creation process.
History eventually revises itself and science reluctantly corrects its blunders. Religion on the other hand takes its time to make good on its folly. After the Roman Catholic Church had demonstrated its power to unite the people in the early Middle Ages, heretics who spoke deliberately in denial of “Catholic truths” were thought to be a threat to the new Christian conformity.
One of the more publicized heretics was Galileo. Galileo’s condemnation by Church authorities for promoting the idea of the earth revolving around the sun was against a literal interpretation of certain passages of scripture.
It wasn’t until the early 1990’s that the Papal commission of the Catholic Church finally admitted to making a mistake. They admitted that they were wrong in opposing Galileo’s heliocentric findings. This after Galileo was imprisoned and all of his works were burned hundreds of years earlier.
It was extremely late in coming – and by the time they got around to the apology, I really don’t think anyone cared.
Now, I suppose that if one wanted to be a Darwinian heretic they could conclude that as more and more theories talk about unknown forms of primal man or even reptilian counterparts, Darwinian principles do not apply to our genesis — they also don’t apply to second genesis theories. Survival of the fittest may apply to all species and that is about as far as Darwin can be used as the unveiling of antediluvian civilizations and creatures are making it hard to use his evolutionary theories as a crutch for serious science.
The theory of panspermia, or that Earth was “seeded from elsewhere,” was put forth in cuneiform clay tablets millennia ago.
It is said that about 3.9 million years ago a collision of celestial bodies produced a reaction where the building blocks of life in the universe seeded our planet.
300,000 years ago, it is proposed that an unknown race jumped the gun on Earth’s evolution and, using genetic engineering, upgraded a hominid, Homo Erectus to an intelligent, tool-handling Homo Sapien to be a worker race.
It allegedly happened in the Great Rift Valley zone of southeast Africa.
All life on Earth, from birds to fishes, flora to algae, and down to bacteria and viruses – all have the very same DNA, the four nucleic acid letters from which all genes and genomes are made.
Our genome of less than 30,000 genes “contains 223 genes that do not have any predecessors on the genomic evolutionary tree. These 223 genes were found to be completely missing in the whole range of the vertebrae phase of evolution. These genes involve physiological and cerebral functions to humans.
Scientists are now speculating that 150,000 years ago, ancient humans were breeding with mysterious “ghost species.”
This is known as archaic introgression.
This sounds like a more scientific way of explaining that throughout the history of our species – we may have had a little help in becoming what we are.
The idea is probably more complex than just having aliens plucking our hominid mothers out of Eden and mating with them. However, it most certainly has us wondering about exactly which side of the family our humanity sprang from.
Although widely accepted since the 1870s, Darwinian Evolution has begun to wane in the last quarter century due to further advances in the fields of genetics, molecular biology and biochemistry. Now, mind you that ardent technocrats will say that the evolutionary theories and proposals go unquestioned as viable science – ideas that narrow the gap between ape and intelligent ape have been discussed.
Darwin’s theory, while being the “go to argument” for survival of the fittest, still plays a role in discussing how we evolved, but now new discoveries are challenging the aging theory and so we can suspect that it arguably has reached a crisis point and other ideas are also scientifically palatable.
Scientists have solved relatively easy problems and moved on to harder ones, like the mind-body problem, unification of physics and of course, the wild idea of panpsychism.
While science should advance exponentially in the next half century, we are not on a crash-course for achieving immortality by curing all disease. Bodies simply wear down with use. However, with experiments in the realm of mind/body, consciousness can find ways to develop a consciousness transplant where we can place into another brain or even a synthetic brain consciousness.
It all goes back to what can be done with the head and what can be retained in the skull.
We have discussed that consciousness exists outside of constraints of time and space. It is able to be anywhere; in the human body and outside of it. In other words, it is non-local in the same sense that quantum objects are non-local.
But can it reside in objects like perhaps a crystal or even a crystal skull?
The possibility now exists as science matures and decides to broaden the paradigm.
There’s a reason why every year, internationally recognized scientists continue to push this commonly overlooked topic into the mainstream scientific community. The fact is, matter (protons, electrons, photons, anything that has mass) is not the only reality. If we wish to understand the nature of our reality, we cannot keep examining physical reality while ignoring the fact that the ‘unseen’ makes up most of it.
Perhaps the most imperative question is what is the role of non-physical system, such as consciousness, in relation to physical systems or matter?
Consciousness is the ability to process “information” about the self and the surroundings of a being and perhaps even the objects that a being came in contact with.
It can be said that all of this information, the possible quantum packet or consciousness, has been encoded “on” the Geometry of Dimensions.
Funny, a good acronym comes to mind when we speak of the Geometry of Dimensions and the head of the of the evolutionary tree and that acronym is G.O.D. – the being inside all of us.
