Jake Anderson

Jake Anderson is a writer, filmmaker, investigative journalist, activist, and digital publisher. He is also a captain of the FV Saga and a TV personality. Anderson has been featured in all seasons of the Discovery Channel documentary television series “Deadliest Catch” since 2007. Biography Jake Anderson was born on September 16, 1980, in Anacortes, Washington. He is a fourth-generation fisherman and grew up in a rich fishing environment. At the age of seventeen, he began salmon fishing in Bristol Bay, Alaska, and by the age of twenty-five, he was crab fishing in the heart of the Bering Sea. Writing Career Anderson has written several books, including “Gone at Midnight: The Mysterious Death of Elisa Lam” and “Relapse”. His writing style is known for being honest and raw, as he shares his personal struggles with addiction and his experiences as a fisherman. Awards and Recognition Anderson has received several awards for his work, including the Silver Award Winner at the Readers’ Favorite 2015 International Book Contest. Personal Life Anderson is married to Jenna Anderson and has three children, Cormac, Young Cadence, and Luca. He is a recovering alcoholic and has been open about his struggles with addiction.
