I have been compelled to write a follow-up article about the show that I aired on August 1st 2010. The response to the show was overwhelming and the hysteria that it caused was not planned however the responses to the airing of what are known as Digital drugs are now a matter of record.
Sending out over the air a small sample of an I–dose gave listeners the opportunity to experience for themselves the commotion and excitement of what can be called the latest internet hysteria where you can feel the noise and tell yourself that you are having a psychotronic experience. Most binaural waves are known for calming people. The reaction from the audience ranged from uncontrollable euphoria to rage and a racing heartbeat.
Some of the callers to the show claimed to have a floating sensation, some saw visions and related to me things that appeared to be religious There was one account of a listener in a dream state seeing someone in his room with no facial features.
The caller that had me concerned was “Rose” who stated that her young daughter Ray had been listening to the show with headphones. Ray apparently had experienced a sense of happiness and then a quick racing heart and feelings of anxiety.
Rose claimed that her daughter did not hear the warnings about the playing of “Gates of Hades” even though I had warned in my instructions that the sample would not be long enough for any lasting effects.
The so called digital drugs that I used were supposed to have a profound effect after 30 minutes not 60 seconds. I would be a fool to air these I-doses in their entirety. After all it is my business to entertain and inform and you just can’t do that when you have to set aside 30 minutes of your air time for the droning of some tone that allegedly puts people into a stupor.
I am here to wake you up not put you to sleep.
I am curious about why these so called binaural tones are becoming a hot item now. They have been around for a long time. I even use them myself when I play my layered music mixes during the show.
Kids are actually video taping their so called bad trips to these I-doses and while I am sure the generations of today aren’t aware of movies like “Reefer Madness” and “Desperate Lives” they unintentionally make themselves look as silly as the characters in those films.
Not only are they taping themselves overreacting but they expose themselves to these sounds that if anything create a sense of motion sickness. I do worry however about the possibility of the exploitation of these sound waves and what they could do if they fell into the wrong hands or what they can do on those individuals that are sensitive or mentally unstable.
I-dosing won’t lead to Marijuana or Cocaine use however, it would be great if it opened up the user to the power of psycho-audio controls.
Extremely Low Frequencies and microwaves can cause agitation in humans and frequencies have been known to cause sickness and eventual deaths are a matter of record. While digital drugs are not even close to these types of frequencies, the reality of noise bombardment and psychoacoustics has been well documented and has been the subject of many documentaries.
Mind control through sounds would be the ultimate non lethal weapon. There was in fact a caller from Battleground Washington who stated that allegedly solfeggio sounds and binaural beats were being used in layered aural sessions in Guantanamo.
While these sounds are used for a calming effect, what would be the outcome of a sound or tone that is unbearable. We have seen the reaction in people when a microphone or guitar has feedback. Imagine a sustained feedback wine that pulsates for nearly an hour.
People do show sensitivity to sound, however it does not alter you like drugs. So the idea of getting high from an I-dose is all part of the suggestion. Sound is a powerful tool, words , sounds and music are what we use to calm down or wake up.
There are many times where we hear things that keep us awake at night. A loud cricket chirping, or a barking dog. Those are little annoyances that often plague us. However, can you imagine an intentional bombardment of microwaves pulsing and being aimed directly at the United States?
In 1976, as the United States was celebrating its bi-centennial year, U.S. Intelligence was monitoring radar and electromagnetic signals from the Soviet Union. What had their attention was a pulsing signal that was being sent at 3.26 and 17.54 megahertz. The pulsing signal modulated at a rate of several times a second, resembling the sound of a Woodpecker. It was soon traced to an enormous transmitter array near Kiev in the Ukraine.
Within a year of its discovery people in Canada, Washington State and Oregon were complaining of all kinds of maladies. Eugene Oregon suffered the most. People complained of pressure headaches, anxiety, fatigue, insomnia, lack of coordination, and numbness, accompanied by a high-pitched ringing in the ears.
No one had really thought of the possibility that strong electromagnetic microwave radiation could have caused these symptoms. However, residents that lived between Eugene and Corvallis Oregon were being subjected to a powerful radio attack with a signal centering at 4.75 Megahertz.
People were claiming to hear tones in their ears and later feeling sick and fatigued. There were unsubstantiated theories that were taken as fact as to what was causing these health problems. One such theory was that winter damaged power lines were emanating frequencies and tones to the ultra sensitive ear.
It was later realized that something nefarious was happening with the so called Woodpecker signal. It was being targeted to Oregon by a by a Tesla-magnifying transmitter.
This technology was able to beam a radio signal through the earth to any desired point on its surface. It could even increase the signal’s power as it emerged from the earth. It was speculated that a Navy ELF communications system using an 850-mile power line was Jamming a Soviet pulse signal.
Back then the systems were new and their power was obviously capable of harming human nervous systems and brain function. Today the systems are far more advanced and have the potential to be weapons of mass destruction.
I-dosing is nothing compared to sophisticated LRAD systems and LIDA machines capable of causing mental breakdown or physical crippling.
It is time to inform yourself and not give in to flights of fancy with regard to I-dosing. It seems to be the equivalent of smoking banana peels or sniffing magic markers. Sure it may cause you to feel floaty and strange, but so does a good run in the park or a good cardio workout.
The record of what happened on KUFO FM Portland Oregon on August 1st 2010 will remain a mystery. It will be a day where the city of Portland listening to a rock station had their first dose of digital drugs.
The whole city was able to ride a roller coaster in the privacy of their own homes. And even though some felt high and others felt sick, it most certainly was far more interesting than any talk about the political merry-go-round.
